There are many individuals in our communities suffering from mental and emotional problems and are unable to receive the help they need. Some of these individuals become involved with the court, may lose their jobs or even commit suicide. Fayette County Counseling Center (FCCC) provides the mental health and substance abuse services needed for those experiencing psychiatric disorders. Each year, the counseling center receives a reduction in funding and runs the risk of not being able to continue its long history of providing quality behavioral health services.

Square Foot Ministry and McIntosh Trail CSB have partnered to create Legacy Build which will result in a new facility for FCCC. To make this dream a reality, Fayette County recently signed a lease on the land where the center will be built. Square Foot Ministry has garnered local businesses and individuals who have already begun the preliminary work on this project. The excitement is growing each week with reports of folks stepping up to meet the challenges that arise.
